A Little about Alissa

Alissa Goudy resides in a small-knit community in Southeast Saskatchewan with her husband of nineteen years and her three wonderful children. Alissa began writing as a teenager and has used it in many areas of her life to bring hope, joy, and peace while holding those special memories close to her heart.

Through her husband's Cancer journey and their daughter's Scoliosis and Spinal Fusion Surgery, Alissa found tremendous healing through her writing. Alissa has a strong passion for working with youth and their families, which led her to begin taking her Youth Care Worker position in 2018 while working as an Educational Assistant at her local school.

After an unfortunate ladder accident, Alissa found her strength and determination to focus on her classes and completed her Youth Care Worker with Distinctions in 2021. Her love and compassion for others are endless, and she often hears laughter throughout the room. To be able to share her writing with others and knowing the memories other families will be creating brings her great joy.

We are built perfectly imperfect, and sometimes life can feel like a Tsunami, but in the end, the little things we find in our day make it beautiful. This has been an incredible journey and could not have been completed without a faulty ladder and the fantastic support and encouragement of her family, friends, and community.
